Therapist

MacArthur Gilmer is a licensed professional counselor. He holds a masters degree in Counseling from Jackson State University. He has over fifteen years of experience in providing therapy to individuals ,families and groups. His specialties are, anger management, family counseling, child/ adolescent/ teen issues, depression, stress, anxiety and substance abuse. He takes an eclectic approach to therapy. He uses a combination of person centered, cognitive, and solution focused therapy. He believes that strict adherence to a particular counseling theory limits the tools that the therapist has to successfully assist clients in resolving their issues.
